Botulinum Toxin Institute
Our Botulinum Toxin Institute is lead by both PD Dr. med. Manuel Meyer – a nationally and internationally recognized specialist and pioneer in the clinical use of Botulinum Toxin – and Prof. Dr. med. Adam Czaplinski. Consultation hours include diagnostics and therapy of dystonic and spastic movement disorders. The required neurophysiological diagnostics take place in our fully equipped neurophysiological lab.
Botulinum Toxin is a highly effective neurotoxin produced by bacteria. When injected in minute doses (into the affected muscles underneath the skin), it reduces muscular hyperactivity. In some cases, the injections occur under EMG control.
